Batto Do
loosely translated, means the way of drawing and cutting with a sword in a single motion. This is the basic distinction between Batto Do and Kenjutsu, which are fighting techniques used after the sword is drawn. |
| This workshop, taught by Maria Van Dessel, a high ranking jujitsu and karate instructor, and Michelle Gay, a karate instructor and Laban Movement Analyst, combines the principles outlined in Gavin De Becker's - The Gift of Fear: Survival Signals That Protect Us From Violence , Laban Movement Analysis, and traditional sefl defense techniques.
